Bella Poarch, born on 9 February 1997 in the Philippines to Filipino biological parents. Her maternal grandmother was raised in the slums by her parents before she reached the age of 3. She was then adopted. The father she adopted, who is Filipino-American with military background, has a white background and is American. The woman claims her adoptive brother and she were subjected to abuse since they were children before she joined the military. The family relocated to Texas at the age of thirteen because her father was undergoing bypass surgery. They spent a few days in San Francisco with her aunt. Although the physical violence subsided however, she claimed to have still suffered emotional violence from her father back in the her home. She was a member of at the United States Navy at age 18. Poarch started her TikTok Account in April 202020 and rose quickly to stardom, accumulating more than 40,000,000 followers in under eight months. Poarch posted a range of videos however the one that became her most popular was her rendition of Millie B's viral hit Soph Aspin Send. A zoomed-in clip of her synchronized lip-syncing to the melody and jumping in time to it was an extremely viral video which has since become TikTok's most popular video. In the months after joining TikTok she started a YouTube and Twitter account to capitalize on her fame. The fame of Poarch reached its height in December of 2020. According to reports, she was the target of two large professional Esports groups. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves each expressed interest in bringing on the content creator to work for their own brands.
